What the price covers, and what it does not
The price covers the coach from Old Québec and back, the bilingual guide and the entry to both the falls park and the basilica. It does not cover the cable car at the falls, a meal, a hotel pickup or the guide’s gratuity. Tipping in Québec has its own rules, and tipping in Québec City explains what is expected and how tax is added.
How much time the falls get
About 45 minutes. Plan on the foot of the falls and part of the stairs; on several October 2026 departures guests were told there was no time for the cable car. In the newest 350 reviews of this tour, read on 30 October 2026, 214 give five stars and 85 give four, and the most common complaint is the time at the falls. If the falls matter more to you than the island and the basilica, the cable car, the suspension bridge and the stairs shows what a visit on your own looks like.
The falls are 83 metres high, 30 metres more than Niagara Falls, and Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, run by Sépaq (the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec), sits about 15 minutes from Old Québec. The suspension bridge crosses the top of the falls, the panoramic staircase on the cliff has 487 steps, and the cable car links the foot of the falls with the Manoir Montmorency at the top (Sépaq).
Île d’Orléans
The island across the river from the falls is about 34 km long and 8 km wide, with six villages along its loop road, the Chemin Royal (the island’s tourist office). On this tour the island stop is a drive with the guide’s commentary and the chocolate shop, not a farm tour; guests mention chocolate, ice cream and sandwiches there. Île d’Orléans on the Montmorency Falls tour sets out what the stop is and the tours that spend longer on the island.
The basilica
The Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine has been a place of pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Anne since 1658 (the Shrine). Guests often single out the basilica in their reviews, and some wished for more time there. Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and Montmorency Falls covers the Côte-de-Beaupré.

Winter, Montréal and the Old Town
The park stays open in winter, but its services do not: from 2 November to 18 December 2026 and from 4 January to 5 February 2027 the cable car does not run, and in very cold weather the spray freezes at the foot of the falls into the ice cone Sépaq calls the Sugarloaf (Sépaq, October 2026). Montmorency Falls in winter has the dates. Coming from Montréal, a day trip takes in the falls and Old Québec in about 13 hours; Montmorency Falls from Montréal compares the two coach days with the train. And for a short half-day that pairs the falls with the Old Town instead, see Old Québec and Montmorency Falls in one day.
Tour timings, inclusions and prices from the GetYourGuide listings, read in US dollars on 30 October 2026; guests’ comments from the newest 350 reviews of the tour, read the same day. The height of the falls, the park’s services, the staircase and the winter dates from Sépaq; the island’s size and villages from the Île d’Orléans tourist office; the Shrine’s history from the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine; all read in October 2026. The cable car, the bridge and the stairs shows a visit on your own.

Yes, the site is open all winter, but the cable car runs only from 19 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 and from 6 February to 31 March 2027. The panoramic staircase and the east side at the foot close for the winter, and the Sugarloaf ice cone forms at the foot in very cold weather. Montmorency Falls in winter has the dates.
Yes: coach day trips from downtown Montréal take about 12 to 13 hours and pair the falls with Old Québec. One gives the falls a full stop with the entry and a one-way cable car ride when it runs; the other gives them 20 minutes and more time in the Old Town. Montmorency Falls from Montréal compares them.
Sépaq puts the park 15 minutes from Old Québec; RTC's Métrobus 800 runs there from the D'Youville stop on Boulevard Honoré-Mercier, by Place D'Youville. Sépaq also lists a Unitours shuttle from Old Québec and the Corridor du Littoral bike path. Or join a tour: Old Québec and the falls in one day covers the 3-hour bus tour, the river cruise and bike tours.
Yes, for about 45 minutes at the basilica, with the entry included, and about 20 minutes at Albert Gilles' copper art studio. Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and the falls covers the Shrine and a private tour of both.
83 metres, 30 metres more than Niagara Falls, according to Sépaq, which runs the park. The suspension bridge crosses the top of the falls and the panoramic staircase on the cliff has 487 steps.
